The darkness enveloping, all surrounding, all consuming. The silence deafening. Screams, screams of memories dark and cruel, screams of victims past, screams of those whose blood has been shed and flesh consumed. Some would think in the dark, silent, cold concrete chamber a prison. Others an asylum. What it is is a cold dark truth. A memory, all consuming. The sound of flesh hitting flesh. Leather stripping skin from bone. Yells of anger, cries of pain, screams of terror, and howls of the hungry and maddened. The voices, ever present. Papa with his whiskey fueled rage. Mama with her tears of futility. Tyler bawling from the pain of the blows. Nathan watching, waiting, judging. Then the sound of the chain hitting floor as the hound is unleashed. The wet gurgling cries of surprise drowning in blood from the gaping throat wound. The Hound is always waiting patient and hungry ready to hunt. The voices never stop. Even the medication turned the howls into mewling ever present in the back of the mind. Then the red one. The devil came and put the bloodied one in the head. Fueling the rage and hunger. He sits on the cold concrete floor. Some would think his head empty and his eyes soulless. No thought, no reason. If only that were true. No he was no longer in the hospital. He was kept contained and barely fed. Only to be unleashed. The smell of sweat and cologne. Leather and fabric. The sound of footsteps. He tilts his head like a predator awaiting its prey. Voices... but this time softer and external.

Voice 1: I managed to pull some strings. We got him. He is kept contained and hungry.

Voice 2: Is that necessary.

Voice 1: A weapon must be sheathed when not ready to be used. He is used to it. We have been reducing the doses of his medication. By Power Struggle he will be ready to hunt.

Voice 2: You sure we can control it?

Voice 1: I would never risk your safety you know this. You are the Visionary. This weapon is one of our weapons for domination.

The door grinds open rusted and barely used. Light white and blinding floods the eyes of the savage one. He muscles coiled ready to pounce despite knowing the weight and length of the chain will keep his teeth from their throats.

The figure step inside blocking some of the light. A man looking smug. He filled with sweat, ambition, cheap cologne, and desire for wealth, power, and recognition. The other smelling of old blood and scarred tissue. Isaac Cornelius Boothe and Dean Tyler. Tyler kneels looking into the rabid eyes of the ones dubbed Genesis.

Dean Tyler: So this is your weapon. Looks half dead and smells rotted to the core.

Isaac Boothe: He doesn't win matches, he destroys opposition. Our control will keep him from attacking us, but we will not be able to direct him not to get disqualified in matches but his opponents, nay, his victims will be in very little to no shape to continue.

Dean Tyler: That will due then. Bring them inside so we can show what is in store for the one called Alexis.

The camera begins rolling as Dean stands with Isaac Boothe flanking the dirty, scarred, and tattered mask of Genesis.

Dean Tyler: Alexis Williams, your relatives have been quite dominant so far. I can respect the Williams family legacy. They are well known. Now you will be tested. Not for victory but for survival. I unveil to you... Genesis.

Isaac Boothe: This monstrosity will not be like other opponents. He will not try to pin you. He will not try to make you submit. He is out to end you. Your career, your livelihood, your very life. He is not a wrestler, no he is a beast incarnate. He will rip, and tear, and bite, and claw at your hair, flesh, and bones.

Dean Tyler: It is not a question of your victory. It is a question if you survive. If you do will you be able to continue into the tournament? Only time will tell.

Isaac Boothe: So we stand here. Before the King of Catastrophe, the Emperor of Extreme, the Messiah of Mayhem The Visionary Dean Tyler. For his utterance is a divine message, a proclamation of pain. He has come to unleash celestial suffering upon you. With two simple words.

Dean Tyler: CRY HAVOC!

Isaac Boothe: Cry Havoc!

Dean Tyler turns and raises a fist in the air.

Dean Tyler: CRY HAVOC!!

Isaac Boothe: CRY HAVOC!

Dean Tyler turns to the camera and stares into it with burning intensity as he whispers barely audible.

Dean Tyler: Let slip, the hound of war....

The sound of an iron chain leash hitting the concrete floor can be heard followed by a blood curdling howl as everything goes black.

Alexis Finds Her Own Set of Hounds

Act 1: Feels Like Home

The scene opens on the beautiful city of Tortuguitas, Argentina. The camera moves over the city and soon stops on the massive Tortugas Open Mall. The sun was brightly shinning down from the glass vaulted ceiling that was over head as a few people enjoyed the quiet of the afternoon. The stores that lined the halls were filled with clothes, while others held shoes, and perfumes. A food court sat in the middle of the main floor, where the smell from the restaurants that littered the area seemed to mix into one. We soon see two familiar faces moving toward a table. It was La Cazadora and Hiro. She sits down placing the bags in her hands onto the marble topped table in front of her and lets out a sigh.

La Cazadora: What a day!

Hiro sits and adds the bags he was carrying next to the bags she set down. She leans back in the steel chair that had been painted a bright red and smiles as she looks up at the crystal blue sky that she could see through the glass.

Hiro: It is quite an amazing place, I am enjoying this touring with NEW.

Gabriela: I do too. This is the closest I've been home in a long time. I think people know who we are. I've seen them taking double takes as we walk by.

Hiro: Even if you were not a famous luchadore, you are still a beautiful woman so you are liable to turn heads wherever you go.

Gabriela blushes as she looks over at Hiro.

Gabriela: Thank you Hiro.

Hiro: My pleasure. Looks like they have you on the card this coming Power Struggle.

Gabriela: Against who?

Hiro: Jessica Williams. She beat Crossdresser Michelle to get into the tournament to face you.

Gabriela: That name sounds familiar... I can't place it but I know I've heard it somewhere.

Hiro: Jessica Williams she is related to Roger, Lance, Jay, Alyssa, Alexis. Who have teamed with Eric Herrera and SoD.

Gabriela leans forward resting her arms on the table in front of her.

Gabriela: Ohhh. I guess I have my work cut for me then huh?

Hiro: They are a skilled team, but also they have been known to run interference for each other but I will watch your back.

Gabriela: I know you would, just as I will with you. I'm not sure where to even start against Jessica.

Hiro: She was trained by Brandy Danielleand prefers a more flying and acrobatic and gymnastic style so it will definitely be a high speed match

Gabriela: Jessica will be able to keep up with me, and we'll be at the same level at least.

Hiro: So it will be a mix of precision, planning, and luck, definitely on the edge of your seat match.

Gabriela smiles and nods.

Gabriela: That it will. I can't underestimate her. I know she won't underestimate in any sense of the word.

Hiro: You have similar styles but you may have to focus on striking her legs to slow her down.

Gabriela: I think I might have to. Why don't we head back to the hotel and get a bit of a rest. I need to think about this... I have to make sure I'm ready for anything that she can throw at me.

Hiro nods

Hiro: Sounds like a plan. I have her match against Crossdresser Michelle so you can study her.

Gabriela gets to her feet and nods as she picks up the bags she had. They start heading toward the exit as the scene fades to black.

The scene opens on the quiet streets of Tortuguitas.The night had started to fade away as the early morning had appeared once again. The morning sun had just started to peek over the vast city while the world still slept. A shadow moves through the city, that soon takes shape as a blur. As the camera focuses we see Gabriela moving along the quiet streets. She leaps over benches and weaves through parked cars before she rolls over the hood and landing on the other side on her feet. She grabs onto a low hanging flag post and goes around it before dismounting and landing in a sprint. She couldn't sleep, her mind had raced all night with thoughts of her opponent and the match itself.

Voice Over: Two warriors will stand in the middle of a ring, both evenly matched, both talented in every sense of the word. I'm not one to back down from a fight, or disrespect anyone. My father taught me that it is better to fight for what you believe in then to turn your back and forget. You know he was right. I have stood up for what I believe in, and done everything that was right in every match that I have ever been in. Jessica I know that you are going to do whatever it takes to stop me and move onto the next round, but I'm afraid I can't let that happen.

She makes a leap over another bench and pole vaults over a trash can landing on her feet once again. The sun was now a little higher in the sky revealing more of the city around her.

Voice Over: Jessica I'm not sure what kind of person you are, but I'm sure that you are not going to underestimate me. If you did that would be your first and last mistake. We are the same in athletic prowess, and talents and we both know that the fans are going to expect something more than usual from both of us. I know you managed to beat Crossdresser Michelle but then again why I am even surprised? You were trained by Brandy Danielle but even you have your own style that no one can copy. Notice I didn't say couldn't match, because I know I can keep up with you, and show you why I am one of the best in the world.

She smiles as she grabs a hold of the fire escape that was hanging down to the ground. She swings on it before letting go and lands with perfect form. She continues the run with a little more confidence.

Voice Over: Just know Jessica that I'm not going to go easy on you. I plan on training with everything that I have until I am ready for face you. I know that you will do the same and then use the rest of your family to make sure that no one on my side helps me. I mean Hiro could help me, but I can handle myself, I'm a big girl after all. I know of your achievements but that none of that matters here.We are trying to go after the same thing in the end. You are another stepping stone in my way and I plan on crack each and every one of you. I'm not sure if I have anything else left to say to you If I thought there was I guess I would have said it by now.

Gabriela stops for a moment and admires the view as the sun started to come over the horizon as the scene fades to black.

Jessica knew she had her work cut out for her. Cazadora was a much more experienced wrestler and had a much more diverse resume. All she had was a Women’s title reign in a place that died where she couldn’t defend it. Her employment options didn’t last long and that’s why she took so many breaks from it all. But she hoped that this would be the end of all that. After all, Leon Dread had suggested she come over here for stability. And Leon Dread is often hard to please.

Speaking of which, ever since she joined forces with him behind the scenes, she has started to transform her attitude and her approach to wrestling. Even her group with her sisters got renamed to fit what Leon was looking for. He gave them all code names to show their new personality. Wildflower, Melody, and Kaos. It took a while for her to get used to her code name, but it was growing on her by the time it was time to debut. Nobody had seen her in a long time, but she was ready to prove people wrong no matter what.

As she prepared a rebuttal for Cazadora’s promo, she was impressed by her approach. For once she didn’t get generic trash talk, like other people have. It felt good to have a nice respectful match instead of useless bullshit. She was definitely looking forward to this and didn’t see reason to show her dark side here. After all, she wasn’t provoked this time for a change.

Jessica: Well, to my surprise, Cazadora didn’t go the generic route of trying to cut me down. Which is refreshing, to say the least. It’s nice to see someone show respect and not try to act like a fake tough guy, or should I say fake tough girl. No offense meant to you, just seen it enough in this business to predict it from people. I’m glad you’re not one of them. I grew up with a love for gymnastics, so I guess you can say my biggest strength is my athleticism. I don’t quite have the most advanced technical progress yet, but I’m working on it, thanks to training for Brandy and Leon Dread. Leon Dread found me a big mess lacking confidence, low self-esteem, and he told me to stand up for myself. To not let people tear me down with their nonsense. I appreciate that he views me as an equal and not in a condescending way. A little courtesy goes a long way, believe it or not.

She pauses and reflects on her early days before sighing. She gets lost in her train of thought and has to catch herself. She then turns to look at her last championship hanging on the wall and grimaces at it.

Jessica: I guess I should be happy I won a championship. My only regret is I didn’t get to defend it. Feds are like a dime a dozen these days. They close because people aren’t mentally capable of maintaining them. They just open them to push their friends using politics and have no idea what to do with it. At least here, things are fair and you don’t have an owner that looks out for themselves for the greater glory. Been there, done that. It can get pretty nasty, indeed.

She remembers her time in AIW where the backstage area was a mess. People argued over their place on the card rather than actually fight for it. That was not the way she had intended to start her career. But beggars can’t be choosers. Experience is experience, no matter how much you slice it.

Jessica: I see a lot of challenges laying ahead of me in this tournament. I don’t like stuff handed to me. This tournament motivates me, because I get to face people that others think are out of my league. I live to prove people wrong. You have every right to be confident, Cazadora. Your reputation precedes you. Even though I didn’t compete there, I saw your work in NCW. I admired your approach to the business, but that doesn’t mean I’ll take it easy on you. And it’s most likely something you would take too kindly to, anyways.

She chuckles and nods her head at the camera. She had seen Cazadora win championships. And to see her not brag about it constantly is refreshing. More people should have her outlook on life. She was glad that this challenge wasn’t gonna be like any other.

Jessica: With that said, you’ve earned my respect with your preceding matches. But I’m looking to earn mine. You’re right. What could a youngun like me know about beating someone like you? Well, there’s a first time for everything, I guess. Just like you one day were in my shoes and looked at as an afterthought. Your relentless pursuit of success brought you here, not some stupid hand-me-down’s. As for my family, no, we’re not looking to interfere. We have honor in our actions, that’s what’s taught in our school. We grew up on honor and tradition. It usually takes a lot to provoke us to that level. Quite frankly, our sensei, Eric Herrera, wouldn’t condone that. But like Leon has said to me, there’s only so far you can get pushed before you snap. And it’s safe to say, you haven’t done anything to deserve that. It would be an honor to face you, Cazadora.

She looks back at the pictures hanging on the wall of her family being involved in matches. It can be quite daunting to live up to that reputation. But Jessica used it as motivation knowing that her job isn’t finished, as Kobe Bryant would say in the playoffs. You still gotta finish the job and that’s something she looks forward to doing here tonight.

Jessica: With that said, I will call off the hounds, as Dean Tyler so humorously put it. This is between me and you, and it should stay that way. I wish you the best of luck, not that you’d need it, because your reputation precedes you. I can only hope that I can get to that level of reputation soon. But I’m in no rush to earn it. See you on Power Struggle.

Roger had been invited to this tournament by his family and questioned if it was something he’d do. But he loved to compete and didn’t mind a good challenge. A challenge that he continues to seek heading into this match. He found out about his match with AJ Flare and it’s safe to say he wasn’t impressed with his nickname. But he would be amused enough to entertain the offer of facing him. After all, despite the cheesy name, he did have plenty of experience in the ring and to his surprise, won plenty of championships.

He finishes his training session and turns to face the camera.

Roger: I guess it’s time to speak now. Not my greatest strength, I’d prefer to fight, but I guess I’ll bite. AJ Flare has been wrestling for a long time. Has won plenty of championships in feds where I’ve been, even though like me, he is a man of few words. I can understand that. I don’t see the point of boring people explaining why I’m gonna beat someone, but I guess management asks for us to cut these useless promos anyways. So here goes.

He clears his throat and lets the camera pan back to see his trophy case. Mostly from AWS and WWI, but something is something. He grins at the camera and nods.

Roger: I too have been building quite the collection. Even though I have wrestled for a long time, I didn’t get noticed on my own until AWS. Charlie Feigel saw something in me as a singles competitor and wanted me to branch out more. Prior to that, I was just a bodyguard paid to the dirty work for a variety of cocky jackasses with few of them panning out. Charlie thought I deserved better, I just saw it as a chance to take out my aggression in a productive way as my former shrink would say.

He chuckles and picks out a specific championship. The AWS Underground Championship. The one he had built quite a reputation for it. He nods and smirks at the camera.

Roger: I loved this title. I came from MMA and wanted to continue to compete in that. Charlie wanted to expose people to that part of fighting and I was happy to oblige. Had quite the series of matches with people. I built quite the reputation for being able to win matches the hard way. Submission, Knockout, that’s more my range. I feel like pinfalls solve nothing because people can cheat for it. Nothing better than taking someone’s dignity with you to prove you’re better.

He trails off as that grin widens. He thinks of all the destruction he can cause. He thinks of all the victims that could be next. But he has to slow down and bring his focus back onto this match. Because anyone can pull off the upset if you get distracted enough.

Roger: With that said, I look forward to the challenge. This Cyber Championship sounds interesting. I don’t know how far I’ll get in this tournament, but Ilive for the thrill of the fight. I’m a prize fighter, who am I to turn down an opportunity to rumble? I’m ready to fight, AJ, and I hope you are too. Because I’m looking to prove a point in this match. Nothing personal, it’s just business.
