Act 1: True Champion
The scene opens on the beautiful Jersey Shore. The night had come on and the lights of the city had come to life once again. The streets were quiet and void of life. The camera moves over the city and soon comes to a stop on a nicer part of the city, where the more wealthy and elite could be found. The camera stops on a wrought iron gate with the letter C sitting in the middle, as a long wall of dark colored bricks wrapped around the property. On the grounds we see guys dressed in dark colored suits moving around the property, making their rounds for another night. The camera moves along the grounds and soon we see the manor house that seems to come out of nowhere. The lights burned bright in the windows and shadows moved along the pathways of the grounds. The camera moves to the interior of the house and we see a lush office that belonged to the current NEW champion Joanne Canelli. We hear a door open and close, before we see the high backed black chair turn to face the window. There is no reflection in the window but as the camera pans down we see Joanne sitting in the chair staring out into the night. Her long nails dig into the leather as the door opens once again and we soon see Uh Oh standing in front of the desk.
Uh Oh: I made dinner…
Joanne doesn't turn around, but she leans forward.
Uh Oh: Are you alright?
Joanne: I'm fine.
Uh Oh: You don't seem fine.
Joanne sighs and leans back still not turning around.
Joanne: I'm just thinkin' about what happened the other night at Power Struggle. The damn VVC is always one step ahead of us. I mean they knew where we were... Somethin' isn't right here...
Uh Oh: I'm not sure, but everyone that is on their side is either out for blood or just to hurt people, and I'm not going to stand by and let it happen again.
Joanne: I know you wouldn't. But they are gettin' the jump on us each and every time. We have to start takin' the fight to them.
Uh Oh: And we have been.
Joanne: Yeah, and it's still not enough. We have to stop them in their tracks, start dismantlin' them from within. Dean is full of himself and think's he's goin' to walk away with my title. But he has to get through four others before he even get to me!
Uh Oh: I can agree with that. Dean is looking for an easy win and you know that he will have the VVC hiding somewhere in the cemetery.
Joanne: I'm sure he will. They like to play the numbers game, but the numbers will start to fade and the loyalty will go just as fast.
Uh Oh: I don't know. They are all pretty loyal...
Joanne stares out the window watching the guards making their rounds.
Joanne: Loyalty only goes as far as the person providin' them with what they want. Once that's gone they will leave. Eric and Kennedy seem to have an agreement of some sort and have united under one banner. I know if either one of them win the first match then I'll have a challenge on my hands....
She sighs and slightly turns the chair around.
Joanne: I'm sorry for ventin' like this to you...
Uh Oh: That's what I'm here for. An ear to listen and a shoulder... To well... cry on...
Joanne smiles.
Joanne: I'll be out in a few minutes to eat. I know you worked hard on it.
Uh Oh: Whenever you're ready, I'll heat it up for you. He walks around the desk and and kisses her softly before heading out of the office leaving her alone once again.
She turns back to the window and soon gets to her feet.
Joanne: Dean I'm not sure why you think you even have a chance against me. I mean what have you done besides use your little wannabe fan club to run amuck in NEW. You play this little game and think you win time and time again and yet you've always come up short, and if you somehow manage to win the cemetery match you won't get past me. I plan on takin' you through hell and back and makin' sure that you never walk away or ever again for that matter. When I first started out in this business I managed to win over the old man himself and take my first title. You are not a threat to me, let alone the rest of your loser buddies. I just hope you're ready for anythin' that I can throw at you.
She moves to a table that has a few bottles filled with dark liquid. She pours herself a glass and adds something from a flask that she takes from her jacket pocket. She downs the strange dark liquid and sets the glass down once again.
Joanne: Eric, I'm not even sure what to say to you. I know that you've been trainin' and gettn' ready for this match, but I'm afraid you're not goin to get very far in this match is you manage to make it. I know that you've sided with the rest of us and I welcome the help in that case but I can't let you take my title. As for AJ, you don't stand a chance in hell of winnin' this match. I mean you have never made anythin' work for yourself. IF you really think you can stand against me in this then brin' it on.
She turns and walks over to a case that held titles of all different sizes and makes. The NEW World Championship sat in front, with lights shinning down on it.
Joanne: Baldur... Who in the hell are you? Did you escape from a prison or are you just hopin' that you have some sort of chance of actually winnin' this match? You're like AJ all words, and no action. But if you think you can somehow manage to step to me and make it through the other match first then I'll gladly face you... But if not you're just another number that didn't deserve it. Maddie... Honey I'm glad that you managed to get through High School and are in college. That's great, but why are you in the business? Is it a hobby for you or are you actually lookin' for somethin' more? I was like you once. I managed to get through high school and was ready for college, but thin's changed in my life that changed everythin' for me, and lead me into this life. I've held title after title in companies I have been in and most of the time I've never been defeated.
She laughs as she walks to the balcony doors and opens them. The night air was cool and the moon was full hanging over head.
Joanne: Dread... You made the worst mistake that you will ever make in your life. You betrayed not only Necra, but you betrayed the family. That is never good. In my world, if you betray the family you are never found again. You either end up in a wood chipper or buried out in the Pine Barrens. But since it's not family business but Darkside, there is a lot worse thin's that can happen to you. You better hope that none of us come after you let alone find you alone. But then again, someone already did, didn't they? Oh well... If you don't show I'll understand... You're not worthy enough to face me anyway.
Joanne makes her way along the balcony that wraps around the house taking in the night air.
Joanne: Brian... I have full respect for you. We have faced off before and you have given me a run for my money. But I'm afraid I can't let you win this match. We are allies, but I have to hold onto this title until the day comes and I will give it up. The darkside is the rightful owners of the title no matter how I look at it. I may hold it, but it belongs to all of us. The night I won the title was amazin' and I knew then I would defend it at any cost. I know that you're goin' to try everythin' to make it through that cemetery match and then come after me. I know that you will stand toe to toe with me and give me the match that I want. But just know that I will not back down until there is nothin' left in me, or until there is nothing left of you in the end. Time is tickin' and slowly fallin' away from us, and there is nothiin' you can do to stop me in the end. See you soon and good luck... You're goin' to need it.
Joanne laughs as she walks down the steps and seems to fade away into the darkness as the scene fades to black.
