Off camera So it comes down to a Cemetery Match, that’s my line to get to Joanne, that’s my line to end VVCs attempt to take over NEW. Cause in two nights it's all over. It’s finished ladies n gentlemen. I will be NEWs first Double Champion.
The scene opens with all of Oblivion gathered in what seems like a meeting. Brian is dressed in some Jeans, black boots, a Oblivion T-shirt, and a vest that looks like a MC cut. The Vest has various patches on it and the top rocker says Oblivion across the top. He looks at his fellow members.
Brian: You see this cut? This is something I’ve never done before, but now is the time. There is a reason I squashed the beef with Eric. And you all seen what I’ve been up to behind the scenes. V.V.C. is about to be finished. I have in mind something where these cuts. Well, they will define what Oblivion is about.
He hands out cuts to each member of Oblivion. Each has their names on them and their Nicknames.
Brian: Notice none of these cuts has a leader on it. That’s because while there isn’t just one leader. Each of us leads by example. And I’m giving you all another patch that goes below our Rocker and Symbol . It says Originals. That’s because we built the Foundation that Oblivion will stand on for a long time to come. Now on to other things. Jay you wanted the floor?
Jay nods his head and starts to speak.
Jay: I went to management, The Tag Team Titles are up for grabs. While you teamed with me before, I wanna do it again. We beat some of the best teams in the history of the business.
Brian: They contacted me. Negative Influence is here Brother. And also Lance, I know you been hesitant to come all the way. With Eric and I no longer beefin. We’ll, I know sooner than later we will be back to where we once was.
Lance: That’s not it. But, I respect you and I also came to the team. I didn’t know your plans then. But since things have come to light. Your not the man I thought was coming to NEW.
Mike: Are you nervous? You have two maybe three big matches.
Brian: No brother I’m not. I’m walking out of that PPV with two titles making me the first NEW Double Champion. Those are my plans.
Just then Requiem walks in. Everyone looks at him as he enters the room. Brian has a huge smile on his face.
Requiem: I heard the last part of what Brian said and once he puts his mind to something he gets it. I never met a man so driven like him.
Jay: So you being here?
Brian: We are talking. I have some plans and that could lead up to Requiem joining us in NEW. I have someone else joining us today to.
Lance: Care to let us in?
Brian smirks
Brian: Two words. Death Sentence.
Jay: Holy shit. Andrew? It’s been a long time.
They all laugh. VVC isn’t on their radar for a reason. It doesn’t matter to Brian the stuff they pull or even what they try. After the last show they been put on notice.
Brian: I have to get ready for my promos. But before I go.
Just as he is saying that Andrew Paine walks in. He smiles as Requiem and Brian. The bond they forged over the years are strong and they are as tight now as they were then.
Brian: Hey, just in time. I have to leave. But I had something made for each of you.
He gets in the same box as he did when he handed out the cuts the first time. Now he holds up a cut. On the left front side there is a patch. It had Andrew’s name on it. Above is his nickname. “Monster” under it it has another patch. It’s got a curved patch saying Death Sentence on it. On the right side the patch at the top says “Head of Security” on it and under it another patch that has The Empire’s logo. He turns to show the back. The top rocker says Empire. Below is the Empire Logo. And the bottom rocker is a patch that says NOMAD.
Brian: Andrew this is yours.
And he takes the last one out. He holds it up and shows Requiem his. On the front is much like Andrew’s except where the patch that says Death Sentence on his the side patch says Empire Originals. And the top right patch has Requiem’s name on it. With his nickname. And the right top patch says “Vice Prez”. The back is the same as Andrew’s.
Brian: We started The Empire and its still going strong. But that’s something we can talk about later. The question is. We need another couple of bodies out there that we as a group can trust. I’ve done everything you asked Andrew. And Requiem I know your busy as hell. But we can use you guys.
Requiem: Let me think about it. First UHW is sounding real good. And the rest of The Empire is there and I feel like that’s where I belong.
Lance: We are all Empire members. Jay is to. Remember we came in with Frosty. We have Mike who is new. But we started something else new here. NEW needed Oblivion.
Requiem: Not trying to disrespect you guys. Oblivion belongs to all of you. And if I come I’ll go wherever Brian goes. I’ll follow Brian any time. But signing over to NEW is something I need to think on and get back to you.
Andrew looks at the cut and then to Brian.
Andrew: Brian, give me 48hrs. I’ll have your answer.
Brian smiles. Looking at his family he knows that nothing will get in his way.
Brian: That’s awesome. I’m gonna go get ready for my promo. Like Mike said earlier. I have two big matches. And so far, it looks like I’m taking candy from some babies.
On Camera
Brian is seen wearing the new Oblivion Cut, with his brand new NEW Brian Kennedy t-shirt, some torn jeans and a pair of Oakley sunglasses. The camera pans out to show Brian is at his office. He smirks his trademark smirk and looks deep in the camera.
Brian: The Cemetery Match, it’s a match that has five other people in it. And then the winner goes on to face our current World Champion. We’ll, I’ve said this since I stepped foot into this company. I will be the first Double champ in NEW. Making history, and I’ve done that every damn company I’ve stepped foot into. First I’ll do this. I’m going to address VVC as a whole. You guys wanna think you’re a threat around here. Your mistaken. Your looking at one of the most Dangerous men in the business today. And Violence was my major. You all must not know who I am. What I’ve done. I’m one of the most decorated wrestlers that’s graced these hallways. I’ve taken shits bigger and badder than Dean Tyler. And the only thing that makes VVC what it is. Isn’t no Dean Tyler. I’d take him out so quick if we ever was one on one that it would make more history. The shortest match in history. He knows it. I know it. And the world knows it. As for the rest of Dean’s little club. You learned the other day. I don’t walk alone. And you and your numbers games was my minor. With a Masters in Chaos. Remember Dean. I done this first when The Empire was first formed. Unlike you I had true Legends. Legends like Frostbite, Requiem, Jessica Tendonin, Lay and Lance Williams, the list goes on. We made history. We were fighting Champions. Your running around here acting like your children trying to play Gangster. Well, you met your match when I showed up. And you all have a target on your backs. So your not a factor in this 1st part of this match. Now I got the clowns addressed, for now. I’m gonna move on. To the ones that’s an actual threat. Because Dean, your only hope is that Leon takes the rest of us out. Cause you’re a little bitch. Leon is the only threat in this match when it comes to the VVC.
He composes himself and then starts to walk around his office. As he does he continues to talk.
Eric, we have been through a lot haven’t we? But, this is a first time we are not going at each other’s throats. I meant it when I said our beefs over. But, make no mistake about it. I am winning this match. And if I have to take out you while I’m at it I will. There is only one reason I came to NEW. And that’s for my last run. After I finish what I started out to do here I am leaving. I’m retiring, I have done everything I wanted to do minus two things. One is win the UHW Supreme Title and the other is gain the SCW World Title. Now that Jessica’s won then., well I won’t face one of my brothers or sisters in arms till all my other business is finished. And Eric, our history, it will repeat itself. You know it. When I have the mind set that I do now, I can’t and won’t be stopped.
He opens a cigar box that’s on his desk and takes out a blunt. He takes a lighter and lights it up, taking a few big hits before putting it in the ashtray and looking back up at the camera. He smirks.
“The Greatness” AJ Flare, look I’ll be honest. From what I can tell you haven’t had a single match in NEW. So you’re new here and as someone that’s been around the block and been here for a bit. This will be the only advice I’ll give you too so listen up. Don’t even show up for this match. Your not on the level that a few of us are on. I know for a fact, you haven’t ever stepped in the ring with Eric or Leon. And as far as I’m concerned your not even on the level to be the laces in my boots. Hell, I doubt your on the level to be the laces in Baldur either. And it’s not I underestimate you. It’s your not relevant when it comes to this match. You might have caused some problems for the VVC, but I am the man that will shut em down. I’ll be damned if I let some new person come in and take what I am after. I watched you at WWC. You dropped the ball when it came to the bigger guns. And that tells me alone you can’t beat me. My mission that I’m on is to beat Joanne and take the NEW World title. But on to Leon.
He pauses for a moment.
Leon, what are you thinkin? Joining that bum Dean? I actually thought you were gonna make some noise and do it like you always done. Now you join the biggest clowns to hit the business? Come on bro. I lost every ounce of respect for you when you joined them. Not that you were that high on my list to begin with. You might have been a monster everywhere you have gone. But you have never stepped in the ring with me. Also you haven’t beaten me. And I highly doubt in a one on one you could get the job done. Not alone anyways. You left Darkside, which I can honestly say this. They have been a huge factor in the companies they have been in. But, now you turn which means your loyalty means shit. You went to a little Dean dick suckin club because you think that numbers alone mean something. They do only when you have a team that can produce. VVC hasn’t produced a damn thing worth while. You have been undefeated to this point. Well so haven’t I. And brother I don’t plan on losing now. You know what one of the things that drives me right now? I’ll be the man who ends that streak. But, your not the only one who will have their streak come to an end. Its just your streak is the one that will mean the most.
Just then Melissa walks in. She is holding a glass with some sweet tea in it. She hands Brian the glass. He takes a few big drinks draining about half the glass and he gives her a hug.
Brian: Thanks babe. I appreciate you so much.
Melissa: Your welcome my love. I’m sorry I didn’t realize the crew had arrived. I’ll get out of the way.
Brian takes another drink and sits it down on his desk. He looks back up to the camera.
You see Leon, loyalty means everything to me. One thing I know for sure is every person in Oblivion are loyal. As soon as you don’t serve the VVC and get what they want out of you they will turn on you to. Watch Time will tell. But on to Maddie. I watched you at WWC as well. I know your wanting to keep that drive goin. But I am the one who will stop you dead in your tracks. You know your not up to the challenge just like Dean. You know you can not and will not beat me. Maddie, I’m gonna give you some advice here. Stay outta my way because when they bell rings you all are going to witness why they call me The One Man Apocalypse. And this brings me to the last one in the Cemetery Match. That’s Baldur.
He picks up the blunt he had in the ashtray and lights it. Takings a few more hits he blows the smoke out slowly. He puts it back down in the ashtray and walks towards the doors that leads to his balcony. The crew follows and the camera pans over the mountain side view. Brian looks out for a moment then turns back to the camera.
Baldur, a man who is up until now solo. We have a common enemy I’m this match. That’s the two members of VVC. The question is when you hit the ring. That bell sounds. What’s gonna be your move? Your another one who hasn’t been. Beaten yet, that’s until you step in that ring. As you already know, I have a mission here. A goal and I achieve those goals no matter the cost. History has a way of repeating itself. And I am a man who loves making history. There are 5 other people in this match. So if we look at the math here. That means I have 16% chance off top of winnin. Then add 64%. Because of the fact, I am who I am that makes it 80% chance cause I am the One Man Apocalypse, The living Legend. Then add the fact that VVC only has 2 people in this match. Both are greedy and what it for themselves. And the other 3 hasn’t gotten their feet wet in NEW nor faced the challenge like they are now. That adds another 20%. That means there alone is 100% the reason I am walking out the winner and going on to face Joanne.
He pauses for a moment before continuing.
And that brings me to our NEW World Champion. Joanne Canelli, a woman that shocked the world when you not only won that title. But made history, I can respect that. I just hope your ready, cause I’m not walking out of that arena without being a double champ. I’m the most consistent athlete in the business. Everyone in the locker room knows it. And since I graced NEW with my presence I’ve been unstoppable. And that’s for one reason. I will be NEWs first Double Champion. You see, UHW, SCW and NEW are the last stops for Brian Kennedy. After that I have done everything I’ve set out to do. I will be leaving the business.
He pauses for a moment. Taking another drink of the tea.
The other thing I respect is the fact you come back to Darkside. A faction that works hand on hand with Oblivion. Now don’t think for a moment that I wouldn’t give 100%. I strongly believe that after this match you will shake my hand after my victory. And my word I would do the same. If. That’s if you manage to defeat me. Which where I’m standing will not happen. Your reign will end at Hellscape. There isn’t a doubt in my mind.
Pausing a moment.
Hellscape, that’s a fitting name for the PPV that I will become a double champ. Bein I am who I am. Call me The Walking Apocalypse, The One Man Apocalypse, or the Living Legend. It all means this is my play ground. And I will run through the first 5 people to face you. And on night two the rewards will fall in my lap.
He takes off his sunglasses, looking deep in the camera. All the emotion has gone from his face as he talks.
Look in my eyes, there isn’t any fear. No doubt I am the one man in the NEW that’s put in the work that I have. There isn’t anyone in that locker room that’s taken on the challenges that I have. Do you for a second think that I would allow anyone or anything stop me? I welcome you all to the count down to Armageddon, all by the hands of Oblivion. Joanne, it’s nothing personal. It’s just damn good business.
The scene fades to an Oblivion logo.
